"Reincarnation" is an independent film I produced under the UCLA Animation program. Although western society has become more aware and open to the concept of reincarnation, western media still often fails to fully comprehend the fluidity of the concept. Eastern philosophy is more receptive to the belief that all creatures are connected, and therefore reborn individuals really can become ANYTHING, as opposed to repeating lives in similar bodies. I used animation to explore this theory of seamlessness - where, like water, life constantly flows to fit the vessel that carries it. I used the program TVpaint to sketch, ink, and color each frame.
