R.I.P. to our DEFENDER
Last year, Jeff Adachi won an for Outstanding Documentary Film for his amazing work entitled "Defender". As many know, Jeff was the 5 times elected Public Defender of San Francisco and a native Sacramentan.
Not only did his work support the rights of the underserved in our communities but, his film work also documented many of those cases and cast a wider spotlight on the problems we here in Northern California, and the nation face with police brutality, profiling and other abuses.
Jeff is survived by a wife and child plus a loving family in the Sacramento area. His recent passing has left a huge void. This year, The SF Global Film Festival will remember Jeff for his bravery and his courage. Stay tuned.
