About me - current project:

I returned to my hometown to help take care of my mother. While there, I wrote Carlos Through the Tall Grass. I joined forces with Patti McCarthy, the film professor at the local college and the whole city rallied behind us to help make this extraordinary film possible. My mother passed the day we were to start filming, but I'm sure she's been putting in a good word for us in Heaven, because I've received nothing but love and support throughout this entire process. In many ways, Carlos is also my story; a story I couldn't have told, without coming home.

Laurels, awards and other accomplishments:

The script for Carlos Through the Tall Grass spent time on The Black List where it was the #2 Family Film & #5 Comedy. Film Independent featured us on their premiere blog of "Favorite Projects." We premiered at Dances With Films and were featured on Good Day LA. We were nominated for Best Film by a society of over 10,000 professors. And we have now become a huge hit with high school students, who have become our biggest fans.
