Phil Kubel - Bio An eight-time Emmy Award-winner, Phil brings his diverse background in production, storytelling, sports, gaming and technology integration to his role as the Executive Director of the HPA. As a filmmaker, his production company, PK Productions, created projects for Hewlett Packard, Intel, Herbalife, Mercedes-Benz, Kodak, Fox Entertainment, Banc of California, and Cancer Free Generation. Phil is a founding member of HRTV, a national television network that featured equestrian and horse racing content. He was instrumental in the design, engineering and production build of its studios and broadcast facility at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA. As vice president and executive producer for a digital media initiative for The Stronach Group, he oversaw the launch of XBTV, now an industry-leading multi-media product that provides insight and analysis for wagering customers. He brings his experience managing creative programming, content, digital strategy, disruptive technology and financial operations to the expanding content and membership initiatives at HPA. Phil is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he studied film and communications. He served on several non-profit Board's including, Glendale Arts, the Alex Theatre, and the Glendale International Film Festival.
