About me - current project:
I’m Jeff Fong, a 38-year-old Hapa (half Asian, half white) from Sacramento, California. When I was 16, I found myself in an empty movie theater, feeling intensely awkward, yet inspired. It was there that I realized writing and directing films would be my way of expressing the multitude of ideas swirling in my anxious mind. Now, 22 years later, I’m still on the journey to break into the industry, seeking mentors and opportunities to pursue my dream of storytelling—whether through streaming shows or films.
Over the years, I’ve written several feature scripts, created numerous short films, produced a web series, and completed a feature film. I’ve also created a project called, The 52 Saga, where I make a short film every week for a year (I’m on week 15). I also run a production company called, The Film Squad.
In addition to what I’ve created, I am proud to be an NCAA national tennis champion and have received numerous awards for my films.
My passion lies in crafting stories that bring better representation to my Asian heritage and to other marginalized communities. If I can make a living by creating stories that achieve this goal, I will be content with the path I've chosen in life.
