About me - current project:

Jane Fraser is 29 years old and has Down Syndrome. She has been a dedicated volunteer at local (Nevada City, CA) film festivals (Wild & Scenic FF, Nevada City FF) for many years. Jane is now studying filmmaking in a small one-on-one informal program (tailored to Jane's needs and abilities) with a local DP and filmmaker named Robert Bryant. Jesse Locks, the executive director of the Nevada City Film Festival, is also a mentor to Jane. Recently, Jane began submitting her first short film to festivals through FilmFreeway. Jane's fiction short film, The Wishing Wand (narrative/fantasy/children's), is three minutes and twenty seconds long.

Laurels, awards and other accomplishments:

So far, Jane has been accepted to fourteen film festivals with several submissions still outstanding. She was recently accepted to the Sacramento international Film Festival. Jane has won five awards including Best First Time Filmmaker, Best Fantasy Short (3x), Audience Choice Award.
