    Content Creator

    About me - current project:

David Mansanalez is a filmmaker, writer, and producer whose storytelling is deeply shaped by his upbringing in Northern California and his years of service in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Afghanistan. He’s spent the past 13 years working in the film industry, in Los Angeles and other places around the states. Motivated by a desire to create meaningful work, he co-founded 4 Ways Entertainment, a production company dedicated to elevating cultural stories and challenging the stereotypes that often surround them. Together, He and his team stopped creating content for others and started creating their own. Mansanalez is best known for his short film Slipping Into Darkness, which he wrote and produced. The film examines themes of generational incarceration, identity, and responsibility through the story of a young man grappling with family pressures and the pull of his past. Inspired by real experiences within his community, the project earned national recognition and distribution when it was selected by HBO as a winner of its inaugural Latinx Short Film Competition For David, filmmaking is more than entertainment: it’s a platform for giving underrepresented communities a voice, challenging stereotypes, and creating art rooted in truth. Today, Mansanalez continues to develop work that uplifts underrepresented voices and brings honest, emotionally grounded stories to the screen. In 2024, Davy wrote, produced, and filmed his first independent feature film in San Francisco with music artist and Cookies CEO - Berner, titled “SPLASH CITY.” A coming-of-age thriller set against the backdrop of the real and raw subculture of the Bay Area.
