This haunting and visually striking film follows Juan Preciado, a young man who fulfills his mother’s dying wish to find his estranged father in the remote town of Comala—only to discover a place populated by whispers and ghosts. As Juan unravels the truth about his family and the town’s eerie history, Pedro Páramo explores themes of memory, guilt, and the blurred lines between life and the afterlife.

Juan Rulfo's 1955 novel Pedro Páramo influenced an entire generation of modern horror cinema through its unique blurring of the lines between the living and the dead. Now see the modern film version of the tale that started it all.
