Doubling as a historic monument and a museum, the Crocker mansion has undergone several additions since its original purchase in 1868. Setting modern architecture next to 19th century design, the Crocker unveiled its newest wing in 2010 and is home to the works of California artists as well as permanent collections from around the world. The new wing is also home to a brand-new state of the art theatre and a small café.

Located on what locals call "The Boulevard," The Artisan accomodates every type of arts patron. With an open gallery in front and two theatrical venues behind the scenes, this space is perfect for both small and large crowds. The smaller black box theatre seats up to eighty-five while the large can morph to accomodate hundreds, depending on the event. For festival goers who need a snack, beverage, or caffeine fix, there is also a walk-up café located in the lobby.

Inside the University Union, the Hinde Auditorium is located on the beautiful Sacramento State University campus in the heart of the capital city. The alma mater of Oscar winner Tom Hanks, Grammy winner Bobby McFerrin, TV personality Rene Syler, and a host of political officials, authors, and academics, Sacramento State will be home to an afternoon "Pre-Festival" of Latino, student, and environmental films on Sunday, April 2nd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Presented by the Serna Center and the center for ethnic studies, this festival preview is free of charge.
