Norcal Film

WELCOME TO Norcal Film (Now CalFilm or CFF)

In 1993 a group of visionary writers and filmmakers began a historic journey. The vision was to create an organization that would educate, encourage and support the professional development of writers and film makers and their projects.

Over the years NorCal Film has helped support area filmmakers and expand our region's influence as the Capital of California Cinema.  To that end, the foundation has worked to promote film as art and as an economic and civic benefit, developing year-round screenings, community projects and special events. It is in fact the only not for profit organization in Sacramento dedicated to engaging both its members and the general public in a lifelong, understanding of film and film culture.

Now, we have grown to support film makers from other regions of California. But do not worry. We are from NorCal and as such, the emphasis on development of talent in this region will not fade. If you are a screen-writer, director, producer or artist, you should consider becoming a member. If you are an avid lover of cinema you should consider joining our film society.
