LEARNING CHANNEL SHOW (TLC) NEEDS PRODUCER/SHOOTER Looking for a producer/shooter with TV experience; reality TV or documentary experience helpful. We need someone who is familiar with the Sony V1U, is comfortable with how to tell and shoot a story, and is good with people. The show we are working on is an intervention show. No, not that one. We are shooting the first season of a show for TLC that focuses not only on the addict, but the role friends and family play on the addicts life, and we also follow them through recovery. The job will start next Monday October 5th and may last a couple weeks to a month. We provide the gear. Hours are unpredictable. Let me know if you have any additional questions or if I've left any info out. We'd love to have a woman shooter on board, but we'll take a really awesome producer/shooter if you've got one. ITVS SEEKS PRODUCTION MANAGER ABOUT ITVS: Independent Television Service, Inc. (ITVS) is a nonprofit organization chartered by Congress to make unique and compelling programs for public television. ITVS brings to local and national audiences high-quality, content-rich programs created by a diverse body of independent producers. ITVS programs reflect underrepresented and undeserved communities. (www.itvs.org) JOB SUMMARY: The Production Manager works closely with ITVS-funded producers to ensure contract compliance and delivery of programs. Additionally, the Production Manager supervises the coordinator in maintaining the production files, databases, tracking systems, and other production duties. The ideal candidate is experienced in TV/film production, project management, and has strong interpersonal, communications skills in working with others. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve as primary liaison with ITVS-funded producers to ensure contract compliance and timely delivery of programs • Provide producers with support on budgetary, technical and rights issues, contract requirements, reporting, and other information • Finalize and negotiate with select producers on production/license/distribution agreements and line item budgets • Preview and provide producers with feedback on rough cuts, script treatments and proposals • Initiate draft contracts and amendments, in consultation with legal counsel when appropriate • Supervise production coordinator in duties such as maintaining files and databases, tracking deliverables and issuing payments, and other administrative duties • Provide support to the Director of Production and other duties as assigned Please e-mail resume, cover letter to itvs@itvs.org with Title of Position/NAME in the subject line.
