I am updating the history of the space race. If anyone has anecdotes, you want to share, send them to me. The space race began in 1903 with the heavier than air controlled flight of the Wright Flyer, continued thru the landing on the moon in 1969, onto the end of the space shuttle program in 2011, and to the new Space Force.
