About me - current project:
Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Anderson "Drew" Boyd spent his formative years in the film school and industry of coastal Wilmington, NC. He began his cinema career in New York as a student and subsequently instructing-assistant at a post-production trade school. His first major screen credit was the Academy Award nominated Winter’s Bone, of which he cut several pivotal scenes and was attributed with heavily shaping as an additional editor. Ensuing narrative work includes Cold Weather, Up Heartbreak Hill, the Independent Spirit Award nominated The History of Future Folk, and the micro-budget indie Sheer. Documentary credits include The Tillman Story, Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, and Strange Powers: Stephin Merritt and the Magnetic Fields. 2016 saw the Netflix release of Well Wishes, an absurdist parable he wrote, produced, directed, and edited. The film screened in competition at the San Diego and Napa Valley Film Festivals and garnered Best Feature at Williamsburg International Film Festival. Most recently, he produced and edited the Madison Iseman starring comedy-drama The Fox Hunter. In January of 2019 he completed his long gestating screenplay, a crime saga titled The Lease of Nature.
