10am - Richard Broadhurst Play Reading Exercise:

Watch and learn as an accomplished screenwriter/playwright directs professional actors reading an original one-act play. Discover how such an exercise benefits your creative process.

 

11:30am Story and Structure:

Where do you place important story elements for maximum result? How do you know that your basic story has real relevance for your audience? Whose story is it...really? From what point of view is the story written? How do you maintain clarity of theme? What is your central dilemma and what techniques are used to resolve the dilemma. Please join us as we discuss the ever important issues of story and structure.

 

1:30pm  Special Event Screening and Analysis: The Sacramento Film Festival has arranged a very special Hollywood screening to happen specifically for our screenwriters! After, we invite you to a very special screenplay analysis and Q. and A. led Mr Broadhurst, professor Travis Silcox and Dr. Lew Hunter.
