Rehearsal Schedule: three-four weeks rehearsal once cast is determined.
Shooting Schedule: shooting will take place on Saturdays and/or Sundays throughout a 6 week process depending on the cast and crew schedules.
Project Name: The Sunflower Journal
Description: The Sunflower Journal is an independent feature produced by Division Media Productions. It is a collection of stories from the consciousness of an unknown man battling alcoholism and drug addiction.
Cast of Characters:
The Unknown: Male, 25-35 years of age. Nice guy with a hard edge for the male lead. Lean from a few years of gradually harder drug use and alcoholism. He is a young man, but due to a tragic accident started down the path that made him an addict. He lives with a woman. Their relationship has peaked some time ago and we see them constantly trying to reconnect; trying to achieve that high—metaphorically.
Alice: Female, 25-35 years of age. She is a young woman, soft and sweet. Through the course of the feature we see her physically and mentally alter. Her character path is that of a user and abuser, to a woman trying to reconnect with a love, to a raging, cold-hearted bitch.
Vohu Manah and Azrael: Male/Female or Male/Male, 25-35 years of age. These two characters are responsible for 60-70% of the dialogue in this feature. They weave the narrative in and out of the past and present, the real and the imagined. Their stories are comical, surreal, and/or insane. They interact around but not necessarily with the other two leads. They address each other, talk to themselves or to the audience.
