Borroel Entertainment Auditions

Borroel Entertainment Auditions Friday, June 24 & Saturday, June 25

Borroel Entertainment will be holding auditions for its newest short film on Friday, June 24 from 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday, June 25 from 11:00am-2:00pm at Cosumnes River College Theatre (address at bottom).  This film will be entered for submission into larger film festivals outside the Sacramento area. There will be no compensation, but meals will be provided and has the potential for great exposure for talent in larger markets. Filming will be done Friday through Sunday, August 5-7, 2011.

“The Reception” 20 minute short film (Looking for cast and extras)

Looking for 11 characters:

  • Harold (age 60 or up) – has just lost his wife
  • Katie (30s or 40s) – Harold’s daughter; stressed out party planner
  • Renee (late 20s) – Harold’s daughter; must be able to cry on cue
  • Bobby (30s or 40s) – Harold’s son; Katie drives him crazy, always has
  • Young Woman (20s) – sexy; has to wear low cut blouse
  • Old Person (60 and up) – bit role, but essential to story; no lines, but ample screen time
  • Man in Line (any age) – bit role with dialogue
  • Man (any age) – bit role with dialogue
  • George (60 and up) – Harold’s friend; bit role with dialogue
  • Man in driveway (30s or 40s) – bit role
  • Carla (late 20s) – Renee’s friend; bit role

This film takes place at Harold’s wife’s funeral reception, so even bit roles will have opportunities for more screen time.  We will also need extras to fill the reception (all ages).

Actors will be asked to read a few pages from the script.  Time will be available before audition to prepare.  Please bring a recent headshot and resume to the audition.
