This is our first ever Crest screening on glorious VHS quality, projected on the big screen. We call it VHcreSt. Born from the staff’s love of VHS cassettes and analog culture, VHcreSt is an experiment in cinema where you the viewer are transported back to the 1980s to see whatever schlock we can uncover from our expansive tape library. And no other film works better than, Troma’s own, The Toxic Avenger. A meek mop boy Melvin falls into a vat of toxic waste and becomes the hero Tromaville deserves. We want to share our love of tapes and b-movies with the public; come join in the new Crest tradition.
