Event Description

Pictured above, Solitude

The World's Greatest...

These are finest short films from around the world lovingly curated for your enjoyment. Don't miss this program if you are a serious cinema fan.

Solitude - Margaret is an 80-year-old widow who spends each day visiting her local train station. She pleasantly sits on a bench absorbing the surroundings which give her a lot of bliss. The staff are aware of her presence and give her something significant in an envelope, hoping she’ll no longer return. What’s in the envelope?

Also Includes:

Unforgotten - Alexander Wilson-Flynn

An elderly man near the end of his life passes lonely days in an old folk's home writing letters to an old friend. But the arrival of a new occupant in the home reopens doors to the past and changes everything.

Erudition - Tommy Ross

Electronic devices stop working and people around the world hear a strange noise all around. When things return to normal, theories range from a terrorist attack to a supernatural phenomenon.

Scale - Brian Siskind

SCALE is a black and white non-narrative documentary short that proposes a quiet meditation on the notion of scale and perception - featuring world renowned Australian muralist Guido van Helten painting a monolith 200 foot tall abandoned grain silo mural in Nashville.

Kick Tac -Félix Farny

A watchmaker in his forties, Christophe’s life is as regular – and monotonous – as clockwork. One day, a break in the routine: a brush with death and a new neighbour whose round-the-clock drumming is starting to wind him up.

Dialogue - Gabor Fabricius

A dream sequence of a wonderful encounter of blacks and whites. Shot at real migrant locations at Europe’s newly installed barbed wire, uses original documentary footage of refugees. Dream only?

Revelation - the City of Haze Lu Sun

Apogee - Megan Gray

A woman must make a difficult decision about what she loves most in the post apocalyptic drama.
